Broad Street looking South. Prudential Building is on the right and an advertisement for Keeney's Vaudeville Theatre in the distance. Keeney's became the Shubert Theatre and then the Adams Theatre.
The trolley tracks ran down the center of the street with center islands for the waiting passengers. On the left are the fronts of the second Fireman's Insurance Building and the Kinney Building. Also of note, right in front of the Keeney's sign is the turret for the building on the new corner of Broad & Market. The building is still there but the turrent is long gone. |
