Abandoned NEVELE, Ellenville, N.Y.

Even though it's been abandoned for years now, its grounds are still impressively beautiful.
Nevele Tower fotographed in October 2022
Nevele Road to perdition...
How many times have I crossed this portal? How sad to see it this way...
the ice-skating rink still looks the same...
Those were the days, my friend... such a lovely sight to see...
The Nevele lobby.
Nevele staff fishing at the artificial lake in early Spring... Tadeu, Quintero & a friend of his.
mid-1970s Neleve's brochure about the Ellenville area. Photo probably taken from Mount Cathalia (Steve Aaron).

Map showing towns of Liberty (Grossinger's), Monticello (Kutsher's), Kiamesha Lake (Concord) and Ellenville (Nevele) which was a little detached from the the 'biggies'.
this map shows how 'detached' Ellenville is from the 'rest of the gang'...
The Nevele's grand kitchen abandoned...
Tamarack Lodge guest room... abandoned...
Tamarack Lodge.
New York Post, 15 July 1969.
