Summer 1966 or 1967; Lynn Goldenberg Kaplan wrote at Facebook in September 2025: I remember every end of school year, the Briggs Highway school bus would stop at Ecksteins for ice cream cups! I loved my little town! When I returned to Ellenville, I taught Elementary as Mrs. Rovitz!! I had some of you as a teacher! Chester Hartwell asked: What was the gray building on the right with the columns? Josef Wilhelm answered Chester's question: Ellenville Journal building. Harvey Levine confirmed Josef's answer: I see the Ellenville Journal building across from Johnny's Super Service; Josef Wilhelm adds: I watched the Ellenville Journal building façade pulled down in 1969; what a shame! I was driving for West End Dairy and sat in the lot next to Flying A.
